I actually order the 1st version of the Distressed Robin’s Egg Cerakote in 6KG/13LB for my sister Robin, whose birthday is on the 13th ... PERFECT functional fitness with a thoughtful story too! :-). I liked it so much (during my quality check inspection - lol) that I just had to order (1) for myself as well. The 2nd Distressed Robin’s Egg Cerakote painted KB arrived just as pristine as the 1st! This 6KG is a perfect starter / warm-up weight so it’ll get plenty of use. Similar to other reviews, the Cerakote finish seems to provide a grippier horn, which feels really raw and nature for single or double-hand grips. The Kettlebell kings quality can be felt just by holding the bell; weight and balance makes this thing such a pleasure to swing. The added bonus is that I am SO blown away by the beauty of the bell - that I may have to even order another one.
Before receiving my 1st Cerakote KB I though about recommending that the color-coded weight identification stripes be added, but in this instance the 6KG weight matches up nicely with the color-code scheme for KBs, so no need for the color-code identification stripes on the horns. Now that I have a few Cerakote KBs I wouldn’t want the stripes on the powder coat bells since the Cerakote covers the entire bell, but I can see the utility in having competition type Cerakote KBs with the horn stipe (the Kettlebell Kings standard, solid choice).
